Tallahassee Prime Timers
Introduction

Prime Timers Worldwide was formed in 1987 to provide a social outlet for mature gay men. Individual chapters pursue this mission within their local communities, resulting in a variety of club genres under the Prime Timers umbrella.

Tallahassee Prime Timers meet every first Thursday of the month at 7:30 pm in a member's home. At the meetings members plot upcoming events, fret over the treasury and trade gossip and jokes. We try to hold at least one party or activity each month. Membership dues cover only the cost of producing the newsletter, so we occasionally hold fundraising events or require fees, covered dishes or other contributions.

This club is very much a product of its members, and as our ranks expand, our ideas for entertaining ourselves expand as well. Not every event has to appeal to every member, but the club must serve each of us fully, so that our investments of effort and funds pay off handsomely in fun and frolic. As a member, you define the club. The monthly meeting is a place to promote your interests, be they parlor games, pot luck dinners, wilderness trips, shopping excursions, or other activities as planned by the membership.

In the interest of staying true to our mission, we require that all members be gay, male and mature. If you are uncomfortable around other mature men, you probably won’t like it here. Also, since many Tallahassee Prime Timers events include alcohol, we require that members and ALL guests be at least of legal drinking age, whether they personally choose to imbibe or not. All Tallahassee Prime Timers events and meetings are open to males only by convention. If a host elects, he may open an event to the important women in our lives, but only with advance notice to the club.

If you meet the criteria outlined above, we extend our personal invitation for you to join and participate as a member of the Tallahassee Prime Timers.
